A Valley pet shop is desperate to find two exotic and rare turtles that were stolen Thursday.

Owner Jordan Moores says the suspect rode up on her bike around 11 a.m. and made her way to some turtles that had just arrived from Central America.

Store surveillance cameras caught the thief from several angles as she makes her way around the store, looking for an opportunity, while avoiding detection from employees.

"We didn't even hear her or know that she was in here and before you know it we looked down and noticed a couple of turtles missing," said Custom Creatures Owner, Jordan Moores.

Less than five minutes in, cameras show the thief bend down and pick up two Central American Ornate Wood Turtles, known for their vibrant-colored shells.

Moores says she scoops both of them up and puts them in her pockets.

Cameras show she walks to the door and gets on her bike.

"Who knows if they fell out 100 feet up the road they probably did a little squirming trying to get out of your pockets," said Moores.

Moores says his shop has been targeted before.

Video cameras caught a couple stealing a $200 dollar light kit back in November, 2015.

"We have had other things come up missing and I'm actually pull up my phone and reviewed the footage as they were walking out the door the same people were taking the items," said Moores.

Moores has contacted other pet shops to put them on notice about the theft.

He thinks the thief will try to sell the turtles online or to another pet shop.

The turtles are worth about $150 dollars each.

Moores says the suspect is in her early to mid 20’s 5 feet, 6 inches tall to 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a thin build. She has blonde hair and was last seen riding a bike.
