Police have identified three people who died when the stolen SUV they were traveling in collided with another vehicle Monday night in north Phoenix.

Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Vince Lewis says 14-year-old Promise Garcia, 13-year-old Ariella Santos and 38-year-old Melissa Bishop were killed in the collision.

Lewis says four other people inside the car were hurt, including the 14-year-old driver. Police say only two occupants of the stolen vehicle were adults, the rest were under the age of 18.

Lewis says shortly after police learned the SUV had been stolen, authorities received a call of a crash on a frontage road near Interstate 17 and Greenway Road.

The stolen SUV collided with another vehicle that was turning from Greenway Road onto the frontage road on a green light.

The other vehicle's driver was treated at the crash scene.

Lewis says neither driver showed signs of impairment.
