The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting in Kingman.
According to MCSO, a Kingman Police officer responded to a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway on Broadway Avenue near Stockton Hill on Monday evening.
Police say the 35-year-old female in the vehicle pointed a shotgun at the responding officer. The officer then fired several shots, killing the female. She has been identified as Paula Dell Phillips.
MCSO say the officer has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
The officer was not injured.
