Police have identified the two people found dead inside a home Wednesday afternoon.
Scottsdale police said officers arrived around 3:45 p.m. for a welfare check at an apartment near McKellips and Scottsdale roads. Scottsdale police said the bodies of 37-year-old Shoun Devine and 27-year-old Samantha Drinkwater were found inside.
The pair were in a relationship, police said, and lived in the apartment where they were found. According to the early results of the investigation, authorities believe the couple died as a result of a murder--suicide.
Investigators recovered a handgun from the scene.
No other details were available as of Thursday afternoon.
