Scottsdale police say a 39-year-old father shot and killed his wife and two children on Friday before turning the gun on himself.

Around 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a home near 100th Street and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard where they found four people deceased.

Police say at some point on Friday, Jason Fairbanks shot and killed his wife Anne Fairbanks, 39, and their 3-year-old daughter and 9-month-old son in their home, before killing himself.

Further investigation has revealed that Jason and Anne were experiencing financial struggles.

According to police, when Jason failed to show up to work on Friday, a business associate went to his home and discovered the family deceased inside a room of the home. That associate then immediately called 9-1-1.
