For three decades, Pima County Investigators called a woman "Jane Doe", after she was found brutally murdered near the Pima County Fairgrounds in 1981. But, now, we know her real name: Brenda Gerow.

She ended up in Arizona with John Kalhauser. He's currently serving time for murdering his wife. But, it was one of his photographs taken by Tucson Police while they investigated his wife's murder that led to the big break in the "Jane Doe" mystery. A detective matched the photo to evidence collected four years ago, when they dug up her body.

"I was able to set up an exhumation where we were able to take her skull and get a facial reconstruction done,” explains Detective Mark O'Dell.

Brenda's remains have been released to her family. Meantime, Kalhauser has only been named a "person of interest" as the investigation continues.

If you know anything that can help detectives, call the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
