Authorities say a Phoenix man is facing a murder charge after a body has been found inside a moving truck he drove to California.

Phoenix police say 24-year-old Andres Serrato was arrested Nov. 28 for a domestic violence incident and weapons charges in Modesto, California.

The next day, a missing persons report was filed with the Phoenix police for 31-year-old Joshua Luck, who was a former neighbor of Serrato.

Police say a body was later found inside a U-Haul truck Serrato had driven to California.

Police say Luck was threatened by a gun-wielding Serrato on Nov. 26 during a verbal altercation near 19th Avenue and Roeser Road.

Serrato apologized to Luck the following day and asked him to help him move, offering to pay for his assistance.

Police say Luck has not been seen since then.

Officer James Holmes said Wednesday that the murder allegedly happened in Phoenix and Serrato transported the victim's body to California. The suspect will be charged in Phoenix and then police will begin the extradition process.

The investigation is ongoing.
