Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump will return to the Valley June 18 for a fundraiser and rally, a campaign spokesperson tells ABC15.

The New York businessman's return marks his first since he made multiple stops, including a rally in Fountain Hills, before Arizona's Presidential Preference Election in March.

Protestors used parked vehicles to block eastbound Shea Boulevard on the day of Trump’s March visit to Fountain Hills.

The protest gave rise to a new state law that provides for up to six months in jail for anyone who intentionally blocks a roadway on the way to a campaign rally and refuses to move. Previously, the punishment was up to 30 days.

However, the law will not be in effect for Trump’s visit next week. A mandatory waiting period for new laws means the measure will take effect in early August.

Trump won primaries in New Mexico and South Dakota Tuesday.
