A north Phoenix apartment manager and residents used dogs, pepper spray and each other to capture a robber.

Phoenix Police report that on October 6, a man, later identified as 28-year-old Brian Jeffrey Wynn, threatened a resident saying, "Give me all you s***, or I'll kill you."

The resident, who lives near 19th and Glendale avenues, gave Wynn his phone and wallet and ran into his apartment. Wynn alleged chased after him, entering the apartment, punching the victim and threatening to kill him. The victim’s roommate, who was in a back bedroom, released his dogs that chased Wynn out of the apartment.

Wynn gave the stolen items to a female accomplice as he was confronted by a neighbor. He was allegedly about to punch the neighbor when the apartment manager pushed the neighbor out of the way, getting hit herself. She pepper-sprayed Wynn in the face, as other neighbors arrived and held him for police.

Wynn has been charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.
