The FBI is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest of a suspect wanted for the Christmas Eve murder and carjacking of a retired California police officer.

Frank Pascua was killed in the parking lot of Wild Horse Pass Casino. He was a retired Bakersfield police officer. ABC15 has learned that Pascua owned a winter home in the Valley.

Police said a manhunt is underway for 47-year-old John Campos, Sr., who is believed to be armed and dangerous.

According to a record's search, Campos was released from jail in September of 2014. He had served 19 years in prison, serving a conviction of several counts of kidnapping, armed robbery, burglary and theft. The Arizona Department of Correction's website shows that Campos was released two years early.

If you have any information on Campos’ location call 1-800-CALL-FBI or 623-466-1999.
