...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY
EVENING...
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Arizona, including the following
areas, Catalina and Rincon Mountains, Southeast Pinal County,
Tucson Metro Area and Upper Santa Cruz River Valley/Altar Valley.
* WHEN...From Friday morning through Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
crossings may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Moisture from the Gulf of California influenced by a strong
low pressure system may bring periods of heavy rainfall from
thunderstorms and heavy rain showers to portions of
Southeastern Arizona. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches with
up to 3 inches in the mountains possible.
