Drivers will see some delays this weekend on Valley freeways, as crews work on improvement projects along Loop 101 and Loop 202 Red Mountain.

The Arizona Department of Transportation recommends planning ahead and considering alternate routes while the following scheduled restrictions are in place:

DETOUR: Please consider alternate routes, including westbound US 60 (Superstition Freeway) to westbound I-10 to travel toward downtown Phoenix area. Westbound Loop 202 approaching freeway work zone can detour on local streets, including McDowell Road, but heavy delays should be expected.

DETOUR: Please allow extra travel time and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching the work zone.
