You've most likely seen an item that doesn't belong on the freeway before, like a ladder or even a couch. These are huge driving hazards and usually happen when drivers don't secure their load properly. Arizona law states that drivers must properly strap down any items they're transporting on their vehicle.

Thousands of crashes happen every year across the nation, from items falling onto the roadway, and sometimes it is deadly. Some reminders when hauling anything in your vehicle:
- Load lighter items on the bottom
- Cover any loose items with something like a tarp
- Double check straps and don't use ones that are fraying or worn
- Don't try and carry too much stuff
