"I think the reason why I fell in love with dancing is because it was so challenging."

Challenging? I'd say she's already conquered it. Just listen to Sophia Lucia's resume that's already longer and more impressive than most of us will amass in a lifetime.

Fifty-five consecutive pirouettes, a Guinness World Record.

"I was the girl who broke the Guinness World Record at ten-years-old and for me, I've always wanted to be my own person and I feel like I finally got that," she said.

And listen to this list of television shows she's been on: Dancing with the Stars, America's Got Talent, Shake It Up, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, X-Factor, So You Think You Can Dance, and Dance Moms.

Oh, and she has her own line of dance wear...

"Now I design a clothing line made by California Kisses," she said.

Lucia was named Junior Female Best Dancer at last year's Dance Awards in New York City. She also joined the Master Ballet Academy in Phoenix this past year.

"Moving to Arizona to do ballet was probably the best decision that I ever made in my life," she said. "I train about 45 hours a week, 8 to 10 hours a day."

Yes, she does have at least one other interest other than dance.

"I've always wanted to do a science project. Um, like dissecting frogs... that's been my dream," she said. "I don't know why. Isn't that weird?"

Her favorite dance styles are jazz and contemporary.

"My long term goal would be to be on a ballet company," she said.

Congratulations, Sophia Lucia...you're this week's Small Star!
