It's time for Fouhy's Small Stars! This week, we headed to the soccer field on a hot Saturday afternoon --- but the kids don't seem to mind the heat at all.

It's the appropriately named Fireballs in red, and the Avalanche in green. The action is fast, and the kids are flying around, anxious to get the ball in goal.

And it's not too far into the game when the Fireballs' Finn gets a goal from the right side. H's more than happy to share with us how he did it.

"I do that a lot," he said. "Went off to the side and shoot it above the goalie. I've done that a couple times."

Let's check in with a couple of the stars for the Avalanche and ask them about their favorite position.

"When I get to play goalie... 'cause you kind of get to chill a little bit," 8-year-old Madison said.

"Being defense. The point is to kick the ball as hard as you can across the field," 9-year-old Ariah said.

Despite the heat, the action continues -- and Finn comes up big for the Fireballs with his second goal of the day.

So, we had to ask: How are you doing it, Finn?

"I kind of wait around the goal when I do a corner kick," he said. "I wait for the ball to come to me and I kind of take over it, and I sit until I get a shot that the goalie can miss."

Nicely done! When the final whistle blows, the Fireballs come away with a 2-0 win -- and Madison has one final shout-out.

"I have a shout-out to my grandma and my mom," she said.

Well done, Fireballs and Avalanche: You're this week's Small Stars!
