Fouhy: I was dead wrong about this year's Arizona Diamondbacks

I'm one of those guys who's not afraid to admit when I 'm wrong.

Take, for example, what I said about the Arizona Diamondbacks on Feb. 16:

Don't look now, but the Diamondbacks are legit! This might be the best team they've had in five years.

The addition of Zack Greinke makes the D-backs a contender, and when you throw in Shelby Miller and then setup man Tyler Clippard, the D-backs have a pitching staff that could easily get them to the playoffs.

I know this is the time of year that we're all hopeful, but let's be honest: Prior to this spring, there really hasn't been much to be hopeful about. But with this lineup, the D-backs actually have a shot.

So... I was dead wrong.

Since then, just about everything that could have gone wrong, has gone wrong!

Zack Greinke is now on the disabled list. Shelby Miller has been awful. eading into Tuesday night's game, the D-backs had an ugly 14-31 record at home, the second-worst in Major League Baseball.

So now, as we approach the trade deadline, I expect the D-backs will be sellers, rather than buyers.

Even the outfield stinks! So now, as we approach the trade deadline, I expect the D-backs will be sellers, rather than buyers.

It's amazing how quick a trip it really is from the penthouse to the outhouse.
