Just when you thought the Coyotes' arena situation couldn’t get any more confusing, BAM! Here comes the NHL commissioner, handing down an ultimatum.

Please know that first and foremost, I’m a Coyotes fan and I’m all-in when it comes to keeping the team in Arizona. But as a Coyotes fan, the last thing I want to see is another battle between the Coyotes and, well, “insert name of city, state or public domain here."

Look, for hockey fans, we need and want, the Coyotes here in Arizona. And yes, moving to Glendale was THE worst decision that then-owner Jerry Moyes could have made.

On Tuesday afternoon, we got word from the Speaker of the House here in Arizona, Javan "J.D." Mesnard, and I quote, “We're not seeing a lot of enthusiasm that the public wants to foot the bill for a new arena, and until the NHL can win over taxpayers, they’re going to have a tough sell at the Legislature.”

So, here we are. The team is leaving Glendale in two years, and as of right now, they don’t have an arena to move into.

So, let the battle begin, once again. This is not good news for Coyotes fans.
