Phoenix – Girl Scouts’ sales skills are pretty impressive. Two local members, Kiana and Evelyn, sold over 3,000 and 800 cookies last year. So, it’s no surprise these girls aren’t relying on just cuteness or sugar addiction to push that much product. Here’s Evelyn’s best tip, Always have a reason to keep people buying.

Local business owner Pam Ronalter of Almond Tree Wedding Boutique in Phoenix has taken notice of this hustle behind the cookies. So, this past cookie season, she challenged Girl Scouts to give her their best sales pitch and in return, she’d buy five boxes. “That is going to help them learn sales skills and no matter what you do in life sales skills are important.”

Kiana and Evelyn were up to the challenge citing how money from cookie sales supports programs for Girls Scout as the reason to buy cookies. Evelyn also added that her troop went to a STEM conference thanks to cookie sales. More importantly, the girls are thankful for the skills Girl Scouts teaches them.
