We found a co-op that’s a Shangri-la of cheese, selling only locally made milk and dairy products.

The Milk‘nMore is located on the campus of United Dairymen of Arizona in Tempe, Ariz.. UDA is a dairy co-op founded in 1960 by Arizona dairy families as a way to give people access to high-quality locally-sourced milk products.

“We carry the full line of Arizona cheese which we also make on site,” said Roxy Helman, Communications Manager at the United Dairymen of Arizona.

At UDA, farmers from across the state bring their milk to be tested, and only the best make it through for sale at local stores and Milk n’ More.

“When the milk is picked up at the dairy farm, a sample will be taken and it’s going to be tested before it can be off loaded. SO there are no antibiotics in your milk,” said Roxy.

Eight types of cheese are made on site, as well as butter, and even milkshakes. Cheese Curds are made fresh every Thursday.

“If you haven’t had a fresh cheese curd on Thursday when they first come out then you have not lived,” said Roxy.

You can also find locally made cheese eating vessels (crackers, meats, etc.) available for sale so you can make and take a custom cheese board home.
