A teenage girl was killed and three other people injured in a crash in Wittmann Monday afternoon, North County Fire and Medical confirms.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. on westbound Grand Avenue near Center Street.
Eastbound traffic was closed for several hours on Grand Avenue at SR 74, but it has since reopened. Westbound remains closed at 203rd Avenue.
The Department of Public Safety says a semi-truck and a mini-van collided in the crash. A 13-year-old girl was ejected from the van and did not survive. DPS says she was not properly restrained.
DPS says three other people were taken to the hospital for injuries. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured.
No word yet what caused the crash, or the conditions of the other people transported.
