The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is set to give Arizona a $1.8 million grant to fight Zika virus.

The organization will be granting $60 million to cities and states around the country to battle the virus that can cause serious infections and birth defects.

The CDC has already offered $25 million to fight Zika and will reportedly be granting another $10 million in August to help affected families.

Congress has not yet approved a $1.9 billion budget proposed by the Obama Administration to fight Zika.

Funding is expected to go toward vaccines, diagnostics and treatment, as well as mosquito control.
