Last week's missile strikes on Syria are still making headlines.

It was a decision Arizona Congressman Tom O'Halleran says he supports but wishes he and other members of Congress would have known the game plan in advance.

"I think they were proportional," O'Halleran says, about the strikes. "And I think they sent a signal, but moving forward, we really need to know what the longer term plan is in association with Congress."

One thing O'Halleran knows and stands by is his belief that Bashar al Assad must go.

"I don't see Mr. Assad at the healm here at all. I think what he has done to his own people is terrible."

And to do that, the District 1 Democrat wants to see the U.S. work with our partners in the region. Working together is something he'd like to see more of here at home as well.

Despite the fact that things seem more divided now than ever before, this Republican turned Independent turned Democrat thinks it can be done.

"We as American citizens have to work together. We can no longer afford to...we've had three decades of not working together and that model hasn't worked."
