It's almost March, time for a little spring cleaning!  Did you know you can get paid in gift cards by trading in some of that stuff collecting dust?

For example, Target has a trade-in program. You can give them electronics, video games, even unwanted gift cards and they'll give you a Target gift card!

First, figure out what your item is worth on the Target website. Box it up, print a free shipping label, mail it, and the company will send you a Target gift card. You can also go to a Target store and do the trade-in in person. Just find one near you that participates.

Amazon has the same basic program, only it takes a wider variety of items like books, music and movies.  Like Target Trade-In, you also appraise your item, print a free label, and ship it off. Amazon Trade-In then also gives you a gift card.

So it's a win-win. You get rid of clutter and get credit to go buy more stuff!
