Restaurant Week is around the corner, and you need to start making reservations! Before you snag a table though, do some research to make sure the price is a good deal!

Arizona Restaurant Week is September 15th through the 24th. There are prix fixe menus. The restaurants decide the price point. The options are either $33 or $44, some priced individually and others per couple.

We looked into a few restaurants.

Red's Bar & Grill at The Wigwam Resort and Spa in Litchfield charges $33 for the couple. That price includes an appetizer the couple will split, both will receive an entree each, and both will enjoy a dessert each as well. Click here to see the menu.

With this deal, you'll save more than $20!

Not all deals are like this though. For example, The Keg Steakhouse + Bar in Chandler has both good and bad sides to their deal. They're offering starter, main course, and dessert sections.

GOOD DEAL:

I compared the Restaurant Week menu versus the menu you'd normally dine with. From the listed options, if you chose the Keg Caesar salad, normally priced at $8, and the 20-ounce rib steak, normally priced at $37, that would bring the total to $45. So it's as if you're getting dessert for free for the price of $44.

BAD DEAL:

Let's say you chose the Keg Caesar salad, normally priced at $8, and the 10-ounce prime rib oscar, typically priced at $26. If you selected the cheesecake, normally priced at $7, your grand total would come to $41. So, you're paying $44 at the Restaurant Week price, when the cost should really be $41. You're losing $3.

Be sure to do your own research to make sure the choices you're making are good deals. Of course, this week is always a great opportunity to try new food and restaurants you may have never known existed.
