Goodwill has a clearance center near 51st Avenue and Van Buren, and almost everything -- with the exception of a few high-end items in their front display cabinet -- is sold by the pound.
Glassware and dishware are sold at $.59 per pound, while clothes, accessories, housewares and toys will cost you $1.29 per pound.
We actually stuffed a bag with 16 clothing items, including several pairs of jeans, and it cost us about $8 for it all!
The items that are sold at the clearance center are items that did not sell at other Goodwill retail stores, and customers appreciate the savings because they have a line outside their doors daily. Also, every hour and a half they refill bins, so there's always lots of inventory!
There will be some duds, but some things may turn out to be studs!
