Fact vs. fiction: Does 'Green Monday' live up to the hype?

PHOENIX - Have you heard about "Green Monday"?

Let's squash the first rumor that the green is about the environment, because in reality it's aimed at last minute deal hunters....you! The green is for money!

Ebay came up with the term in 2007 because it's known as one of the most profitable days of the year for retailers.

So are the rumors true? Can you really find deals as good as Cyber Monday? This rumor is true!

Walmart started touting its green Monday ad last week with hundreds of items, some more than half off.

But don't give up if something goes out of stock, because tons of online retailers are fighting for your cash.

Check out this Xbox One at Walmart. $189 is a really good deal.  But Target and Sam's Club are offering that same deal. In fact, do a simple online search and you'll see that more than 50 stores have similar deals.

Another rumor is it's the last day you can order to get your items before Christmas!

Smart Shoppers, I think you know that this rumor is false!  In fact free shipping day is Friday and retailers are guaranteeing arrival before Christmas.
