Man booked into jail after Goodyear PD shooting

Goodyear police have identified the suspect who was involved in an officer-involved shooting.

The shooting happened at McDowell Road and Pebble Creek Parkway on May 13.

When officers arrived on the scene they found 25-year-old King Allah laying on the sidewalk with self-inflicted lacerations.

Allah claimed to have a gun and a bomb in his possession.

According to Goodyear police, officers attempted to negotiate with Allah but he opened fire on them.

The suspect was transported to a local hospital and booked into jail on May 21.

Allah was booked into jail on five counts of aggravated assault on a police officer and other charges.

As a result of the investigation, Goodyear police learned the Weapon the suspect used was a CO2 cartridge gun.
