GLENDALE, AZ — Police are investigating after a body was found in a lake at a park in Glendale near 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
At around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Glendale police received a 911 call from a person who reported seeing a body floating in the water at the Bonsell Park South Community Lake.
When emergency crews arrived, they pulled the body to land and pronounced the person dead.
Authorities are working to identify the person and say it is an African American male.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.
