Police in Glendale say they've arrested a man accused of shooting at officers last weekend.
They say 18-year-old David Romero was brought to the police station Monday afternoon and he and his family spoke with detectives but made no admissions about the shooting incident.
He's been booked into jail on suspicion of five felony counts including two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer.
Officers say they heard gunshots fired outside the Gateway patrol police station around 6 a.m. Saturday and saw a pickup truck with a New Mexico license plate leave the scene at a high speed.
Police say they were able to obtain the license plate number and the vehicle was later found abandoned at a Glendale apartment complex.
They say Romero was identified as the owner.
