Three people were taken to the hospital: a 29-year-old woman, an 8-year-old boy and a 6-year-old boy. Firefighters said medical helicopters were on the scene, though it wasn't immediately clear how many were airlifted to the hospital.
Officials said all three were in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.
The crash shut down the westbound portion of the interstate for about an hour. The closure led to a backup on I-10 of more than two miles, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The interstate reopened to traffic just after 8 p.m.
