The Islamic Community Center of Tempe held an open house Saturday after video surfaced of two women stealing flyers and Korans from the mosque.

“It’s so heartwarming, so amazing, the outpouring of support that the center is getting,” said Imam Ahmad Al-Akoum, the center's director of interfaith and outreach.

Over a hundred people gathered for the "Love and Coffee" event. Al-Akoum is encouraging people unsure about the faith, or what it teaches, to stop by.

He said the center has received hundreds of phone calls from people and organizations across the country.

Tahnee Gonzales and Elizabeth Dauenhauer are facing charges in connection to the March 3rd incident.
