For the 12th year in a row, residents of the greater Phoenix area can honor the victims of 9/11 by visiting Tempe Beach Park.
The Tempe Exchange Club is hosting the annual Healing Field flag display near Mill Avenue and Salado Parkway. The formation includes 3,000 U.S. flags, that allows visitors to walk through in order to honor the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The display will be open to the public from Sept. 10 through Sept. 15. Other Healing Field events include:
- Sept. 11: Memorial Ceremony at 5:46 a.m.
- Sept. 11: Candlelight Virgil at 7 p.m.
- Sept. 11-13: Red Cross Blood Drive
- Sept. 14: Healing Field Stand Down at 6 a.m.
