The Chandler Police Department has installed MedReturn drop-boxes in the lobby of each station.

Residents can use the boxes to dispose of unwanted or expired prescription drugs anonymously.

The following items are accepted at MedReturn boxes: prescriptions, prescription patches, prescription medications, prescription ointments, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, medication samples and medications for pets.

Items that cannot be accepted: sharp needles, thermometers, hydrogen peroxide, inhalers, aerosol cans, medication from businesses or clinics, ointments – over the counter, lotions – over the counter and liquids – over the counter.

The drop-box at 250 E. Chicago Street is open 24/7. The boxes at 251 N. Desert Breeze Boulevard and 4040 E. Chandler Heights Roads are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
