20-year-old Cesar Dominguez is in custody after fleeing from police and crashing on State Route 303 Wednesday night.

The vehicle Dominguez was driving was listed as stolen.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said they spotted the vehicle traveling at 100 mph on SR-303 near Thomas Road around 6 p.m. The vehicle then crashed on the Thomas Road off-ramp and Dominguez and the passengers ran away.

Troopers were able to catch Dominguez and make an arrest. He suffered minor injuries in the crash.

DPS officials said the vehicle they were in was stolen in June out of Glendale at gunpoint.

The owner of the stolen vehicle no longer desired prosecution, according to DPS, therefore the suspect will only be charged with aggravated assault and endangerment.

Two others were in the car at the time of the crash, but DPS has not said whether or not they will face charges.
