Phoenix police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian and two vehicles.
According to information from the scene near 21st Avenue and Bethany Home Road, two vehicles hit a man crossing the street overnight.
The vehicles are believed to be a red truck and a white passenger vehicle and both were headed westbound at the time. The vehicles took off after hitting the pedestrian.
Witnesses told police the pedestrian, only identified as a man in his twenties, was crossing mid-block when he was hit.
Police have not yet released more information about the crash.

According to a report earlier this year from the Governors Highway Safety Association, Arizona has the highest rate of pedestrian deaths in the nation.
