The Phoenix Fire Department says a man in his 40's was rescued off of Papago Mountain Sunday after falling and possibly fracturing his ankle. When the victim fell he also got wedged between several large rocks.

The man told firefighters he was stuck there for several hours and did not have a cell phone to call for help.

The fire department says the man was in stable condition but was moderately dehydrated. Crews had to repel down to the man and use a basket to get him off of the mountain.
