Officials investigating a possible case of arson arrested a 40-year-old man for robbery and assault at the scene.

Frank Lee Coleman Jr. reportedly returning to the scene whileinvestigators were checking out an apartment fire near 40th Street and McDowell Road Saturday.

Police say a struggle ensued and Coleman robbed a woman, taking her purse before leaving.

The woman followed Coleman to an apartment complex near 40th Street and Coronado Road where Coleman reportedly pointed a gun at her, telling her to stop following him.

Coleman then entered an apartment unit with two other men inside, who later exited for questioning. Police and SWAT teams were at the scene waiting for Coleman to exit the apartment for several hours before he was finally taken into custody.

He was booked into jail on one count of robbery and one count of assault. Police say at the time of booking, there was insufficient probable cause to charge Coleman with arson.
