An Arizona man convicted of killing his 6-year-old nephew after the child witnessed his father's shooting death was sentenced to natural life plus 36.5 years in prison.
Christopher Rey Licon was convicted in the 2010 shooting deaths of his half brother, Angel Jaquez, and his nephew, Xavier Jaquez.
Authorities say Licon shot his half brother over a drug dispute and later killed the boy out of fear that he would snitch on him because the child heard or saw his father die.
The sentencing was announced Wednesday.
