PHOENIX — Authorities say a dead cat hung from a Phoenix tree earlier this month died of injuries consistent with being hit by a car.
Phoenix police responded the morning of February 9th to a home near 12th Street and Roosevelt for a report of a cat hanging from a tree. The case was subsequently handed over to the Arizona Humane Society.
A necropsy on the cat's body found it had died of blunt force trauma to the head, like would happen if hit by a car.
It was not immediately clear if any criminal charges would be filed.
