PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Transportation has multiple construction projects going on this weekend that may impact your plans.

ADOT has reported the following closures and restrictions:

  • Westbound I-10 closed between the I-17 “Stack” interchange (west of 19th Avenue) and 43rd Avenue from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (June 6) for pavement improvement project. Both I-17 ramps to westbound I-10 at the Stack closed. Westbound I-10 on-ramps at Seventh Street, Seventh Avenue and Fifth Street (HOV ramp) closed.

    • Detours: Consider exiting ahead of the closure and using alternate routes including westbound McDowell Road or Van Buren Street. If possible consider alternate freeway routes including westbound/southbound Loop 101 (Agua Fria Freeway) in the West Valley or westbound/northbound Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) from the East Valley.
  • Eastbound I-10 closed between the SR 51 “Mini-Stack” interchange and State Route 143 (Hohokam Expressway) from 10 p.m. Friday to approximately 11:59 p.m. Saturday (June 4) for bridge girder installation and other work on the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project. All eastbound I-10 on-ramps between Third Street and Broadway Road closed. Closures include ramps from southbound SR 51, Loop 202 WB and SR 143 SB to eastbound I-10. Southbound I-17 on-ramps at Seventh Avenue, Seventh Street and the southbound I-17 ramp to eastbound I-10 near Sky Harbor Airport closed.

    • Detours: Alternate freeway routes include eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to southbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) to either westbound US 60 (Tempe area) or westbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) in Chandler. Note: Westbound I-10 narrowed to two lanes between SR 143 and 24th Street near Sky Harbor Airport from 10 p.m. Friday to approximately 11:59 p.m. Saturday (June 4). Westbound US 60 HOV ramp to westbound I-10 also closed. Allow extra travel time and consider alternate routes.
  • Westbound I-10 closed between SR 143 (Hohokam Expressway) and the I-17 “Split” interchange near Sky Harbor Airport from approximately 11:59 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Monday (June 6) for the I-10 Broadway Curve Improvement Project. Westbound I-10 on-ramps between Elliot Road and I-17 closed. Westbound US 60 on-ramp at Mill Avenue closed. Westbound US 60 HOV ramp to westbound I-10 closed.

    • Detours: Alternate freeway routes include eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) or eastbound US 60 to northbound Loop 101 (Price Freeway) and westbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to reach Sky Harbor Airport or downtown Phoenix. Consider using westbound/northbound Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) to I-10 in west Phoenix as another detour option.
  • Westbound Greenway Road closed for several weeks near I-17 from 9 p.m. Friday to late June for roadway reconstruction as part of regional drainage system project. Expect closures of I-17 on- and off-ramps at Greenway Road. Note: Eastbound Greenway Road also closed near I-17 from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Tuesday (June 7) for drainage system project.

    • Detours: Alternate routes include Cactus or Bell roads.
