CHARLOTTE, NC — A North Carolina man met his match when he tried to chase a woman into a karate studio Thursday night.
According to CNN, with information from Charlotte news station WSOC, the incident happened when a man attempted to kidnap a woman and force her into his vehicle.
The woman was able to get away and ran into the nearby Bushiken Karate Charlotte Dojo karate studio — and the suspect followed.
CNN says the head karate instructor was inside with a few children when the victim rushed in, followed by the suspect. The woman told the instructor that he was trying to kidnap her and that’s when the instructor took matters into his own hands.
The instructor defended himself from the man, who continued to force his way inside.
When police arrived at the scene, the suspect also tried to assault them, according to reports.
WSOC says the suspect was taken from the scene on a stretche and brought to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
