Convicted Arizona sex offender chains up South Carolina woman in storage container

A South Carolina woman was chained up like a dog inside a metal storage container, and the suspect has ties to Arizona. 
 
The suspect, a convicted sex offender out of Arizona, is Todd Kohlhelpp.
 
Information in 1987 court documents foreshadow what investigators found on Tuesday in South Carolina. 
 
Missing 30-year-old Kala Brown was found on Kohlhelpp's property chained up. She was inside a metal container for almost two months. The woman was hidden away on the man's property while Kohlhelpp conducted business as usual as a realtor. 
 
The man spent 15 years in prison for kidnapping and raping a neighbor and classmate of his in Tempe. The man was 16 at the time when he put a gun to a 14-year-old's head. He then tied up the girl and sexually assaulted her, according to court paperwork. 
 
Court records reveal Kohlhelpp was a troubled child growing up. Court documents mention that Kohlhelpp's father said his son was violent with other children, physically assaulting them. He "Cloroxed" a goldfish so that he could get another pet, and also shot a dog. He even admitted to thoughts of hurting people. he also had a fascination with guns.
