Apple bans 'toxins' used in iPhone, iPad assembly

On Thursday, Apple announced it's banning a pair of "toxins" used in the factories that produce iPhones and iPads.

The announcement came after an investigation by the company into 22 of its manufacturing centers—where benzene and n-hexane were found to be used in four.

Apple is still allowing the chemicals to be used in early production stages at a reduced level, according to the company. See this Newsy video report for more details:
