This heartwarming story includes chicken strips, fries and human kindness.
According to KFOR.com, Carmen Mendez, of Anaheim, Calif., showed a simple act of kindness that ended in a huge hug and tears.
Mendez was eating at a local Raising Cane's when she witnessed a homeless woman asking customers for their leftover food. Mendez decided that she would give the woman her leftovers if she was still there when she had finished her meal.
When Mendez went to throw her food away, the homeless woman appeared again. So, Mendez gave her one leftover chicken strip and a few fries. But she couldn't stop there.
“I felt like a horrible human being feeding her my leftover chicken strip. She deserved so much more,” Mendez said on her Facebook post.
