Bothered by telemarketers?

Evert Fruitman has a unique way to deal them.

His motto: annoy them like they annoy you.

We first visited Evert at his Valley home a couple of years ago.

And we went back to watch how he still deals with dozens of robocalls and telemarketing calls a week.

He first grabs his nearby flute.

He answers the phone, lets the telemarketer talk, and then he blasts them with a little "Ode to Joy."

Evert usually follows it up with comments like "you people are liar and thieves" or "just go away and leave us alone"

His number is part of the Do Not Call Registry, but that doesn't seem to matter.

Evert says "I've asked them in the past would you please stop calling me ... doesn't work."

He usually meets his goal of getting a dial tone.

But once, after a performance, we heard a telemarketer say "I like that."

So if Rachel from card services happens to get his number, hopefully she's ready.

Evert is.
