PHOENIX- This is elote like you’ve never seen before. Twisted Munchies is popping up all over the Valley to serve their colorful streetfood that puts a “twist on tradition”.

Katie Sanchez and Mark Orrick started Twisted Munchies in 2018. Their Korean BBQ inspired pork taco is a bestseller but you’ll find their rainbow elote all over Instagram.

What’s elote? It’s a cob of corn coated in mayo and cotija cheese then doused in lime juice. A few things set Twisted Munchies elote apart from the rest. One, their cotija cheese is multicolored. Two, the corn is perfectly charred and it’s coated in just the right amount of mayo and cheese. The elote tastes better than it looks which is a feat for such an Instagram-worthy cob of corn. If you want to get even more twisted, try their Hot Cheeto elote.

Twisted Munchies is all over the Valley on any given day. The best way to track them down is on Instagam and Facebook
