PHOENIX — A man has been arrested after sexually assaulting his roommate's younger teen sister.

Phoenix police report that on May 14, a 14-year-old girl walked into Maricopa Medical Center saying she had been sexually assaulted.

She allegedly disclosed to investigators that she was staying at her adult sister's home and was alone the night before until Jacob Nathaniel Betos, 24, returned home.

Betos reportedly went into the bedroom where the girl was sleeping and began smoking marijuana while sitting on the next bed. He then allegedly laid down next to the girl and sexually assaulted her.

The girl told police that, "she was in shock and could not move or talk." When she woke the next day, she got a friend to take her to the hospital.

Betos was located and arrested the next day near 43rd Avenue and Roosevelt Street.

Upon his arrest, Betos allegedly admitted to molesting the girl while watching pornography.

He is being held on a $100,000 cash bond for sexual assault, sexual conduct with a minor, and child molestation.
