PHOENIX — A Phoenix man offered sex with his girlfriend for money, then stabbed the man during the sex act.

Phoenix police report that on February 18, they responded to an area near 32nd Street and Greenway Road.

Police learned that 29-year-old Tyler Gene Powers offered sex with his girlfriend, 23-year-old Lilian Joynai Adell, to a man at a bus stop.

The man agreed, and he and Adell went behind a dumpster to have sex. Powers then allegedly stole the man's cell phone and stabbed him, while the victim was engaged in a sex act.

The victim escaped to a nearby business where employees called the police. He was transported to a hospital where he was treated for a stab wound to his abdomen and a cut to his ear.

Adell and Powers fled to a nearby McDonald's where Powers reportedly demanded that Adell rob three juveniles in the restaurant.

Instead, she allegedly ran off the teens while armed with a knife.

Police located and arrested the couple outside the McDonald's.

Upon her arrest, Adell allegedly admitted to having sex with the victim for money and said she and Powers argued in the McDonald's when she refused to rob the teens.

They have both been charged with armed robbery and multiple counts of aggravated assault.
