A citizen located and detained two suspects wanted for multiple car burglaries in a Mesa neighborhood.

Mesa police report that on July 24, a man found another man standing next to his car, while another man was burglarizing it.

The two men, later identified as 20-year-old Isaac Anthony Ferguson and 19-year-old Charlie Michael Tellechea, ran from the victim.

The victim returned home and got into his Jeep to search for the men. He soon found them, held them at gunpoint and called the police.

The victim reportedly told police that the men ran from his Jeep with about $1,000 worth of items.

He showed them the path they took when they ran in the area of Meridian and Elliot roads. Police searched the area and found backpacks containing not only the victim’s belongings but items from two other neighborhood burglaries.

Ferguson and Tellechea have both been charged with multiple counts of burglary.
