The murder of a disabled wife and mother has gone unsolved since 2004.

It was November 19, 2004, when the husband of 58-year-old Bertha Altamirano left home for a doctor's appointment. When he returned, he found his wife had been killed in their home.

Police say Bertha was unable to defend herself after suffering a stroke two years before the murder and needed a cane to get around. She rarely ventured outside her home near 19th and Southern avenues, where she lived for four decades.

Phoenix Police and family members are still looking for answers.
